Syllabus
 1000 RECITAL AWARD (Over 16)         
Sponsored by Friends of Sligo Feis Ceoil Runner up will receive €250
Performers are required to perform a piece of prose, drama & poetry  on a theme or an  author and his/her works. Performers shall introduce the programme and provide a   linking commentary. A number of  marks will be given for suitability of choice. A penalty of one mark will be imposed if the maximum time limit is exceeded by 30 seconds or more. Time Limit 10 minsThe adjudicators decision is final.The overall winner must be available to     attend the Awards Ceremony in the Hawkswell Theatre on April 4th at 9pm.Winner may be invited to give a brief  performance on the evening.
Competition Date:  Wednesday April 4th (afternoon)

500 BURSARY -Drama Senior Award
Soroptimist International Sligo and District

The adjudicator will select the finalists  from
DR1, DR6, DR10, DR18 & DR20
The selected candidates may not necessarily be first prize winners nor will all first prize  winners be automatically selected. Competitors will be required to perform a monologue in  costume, that has not been performed by the competitor in any class at this year’s Feis. Performance must not exceed 5 minutes.The winner will also receive The McKinney Trophy
presented by The McKinney Family
 The final bursary competition will take place in The Hawkswell Theatre on April 4th at 7.30pm.
Senior Verse Speaking Award
Sligo Tourist Development Association
will award a  
SCHOLARSHIP TO STAGEWISE
to the competitor who receives the highest          
number of points on aggregiate in      
GA1,SP1 ,SP2, SP3, SP4, SP39  & SP43

Intermediate Drama  Award

The adjudicator will award a
SCHOLARSHIP to  STAGEWISE

to the most promising competitor

1 Scholarship to Colaiste Uisce  &
3 Part Scholarships  to Colaiste Chiaran  
(value €450) to the participants who would  benefit from  further tuition from competitions GA1,GA2 & GA3

In celebration of the

Emily Jane Bronte
competitors (Open Class) will recite  
One Poem from her works .
The winner will receive €100 sponsored by
AIB

O’HARA PERPETUAL CUP  

THE  SENIOR  YEATS   CUP (Over 16)

Presented by the late H.B. Meagher
Competitors to perform 2 contrasting pieces of
own choice by W.B. Yeats illustrating the
different aspects of the poet’s life.

Performance may not exceed 6 mins.
Winner to receive a Scholarship  for the
