The adjudicator will select the finalists (Over 18)from among the following classes: V1,V2,V3,V4,V6,V9,V11 for the senior vocal bursary. On April 24th at 6.30pm ,following a short interview with theadjudicators, the finalists will perform in the bursary(time limit 7 minutes) The winner will also receive The Nancy Simpson Cup
V1– DENNIS O ‘ SULLIVAN ANNUAL PRIZE(Open to all voices)(Open Class) A bronze Medal (kindly presented by the O’ Sullivan Memorial Fund committee, London) is offered for the best rendering of two Irish Songs of contrasting character in English or Gaelic, ancient or modern, original or arranged, provided the spirit and form are Irish. Competitor, having won the Medal is not eligible to win it again.

V6-LIEDER –THE DIETER LOSLEBEN CUP (Open Class)Time Limit 8minsCompetitors to singtwo contrasting lied from the works ofSchubert, Schumann, Brahms, Mahler, Strauss or Hugo Wolf. Competitors may NOT sing two songs by the same composer.The winner of V6 will receive a bursary of €300 sponsored bySligo Park Hotel
V9 -MADELINE WYNNE CUPDRAMATIC SOLO SINGING. Open to any voice. (Open Class)Test Pieces: A song or scena from an Opera to be sung with appropriate gestures. Appropriate costumes optional. Time Limit 15 mins
V11–ORATORIO or SACRED SOLOS (Open Class)Cup presented by the late Mr. W.P. Gilbert.Test Piece: One aria with or without recitative from any Oratorio.
